Garlok

Garlok is my latest complete personal creation. This creature took a month to be sculpted, a whole week to be retopoligised menually, and a lot of teturing tests. I wanted to improve my retopology skills, make it as optimised as possible, and at the same time preserve the details. Garlok is a character that can be flawlessly integrated into any high-end game, cinematic or film.

In this project, I wanted to learn a bit of Unreal Engine. It is hard at first to learn the basics of a new software, but I quickly got used to it and made my first ever cinematic there.

Garlok is an alien predatory species. He is a killing machine that spares no one. With his claws, he can not only kill but also climb. His bite is so strong that it can easily destroy metal equipment. Not only that, but his stomach processes everything that goes into it. He is covered in armor, but also his body has extremely strong bone masses that serve as its defense. An example of this is the chest area and the thighs. Last but not least, all the spikes on his body serve to both attack and defend himself.
